Located on a hillock and encircled by the town, Deogarh mahal was built in 1670
AD by Rawar Dwarkadasji of the Sisodia dynasty as a family residence. Constructed
by the famed Sompura architects, well known for their talents, Deogarh is a
testimony to their skilled craftsmanship. Standing at a height of 2100 ft above
sea level, with its bold battlements, domed turrets and balconies, the accommodation
is in 35 deluxe rooms and suites, all with attached bath with modern fittings.
Renowned as a school of miniature paintings, some of the Deogarh miniatures
are still in the personal collection of the present Rawat Sahib.
Facilities:
A swimming pool and a heated Jacuzzi have recently been built in the Deogarh
premises. The swimming pool will shortly be solar heated.
Ayurvedic Massage:
A special team from Kerala is available to provide relaxing and therapeutic
ayurvedic massage.
A new Dinning area has been built exclusively for the FIT guests . Airy terraces
provide a splendid view of the ranges and lakes as one sun-bathes, reads or
watches the sun set.

Special features: Nathdwara, Kankroli, Kumbhalgarh and Ranakpur are some of
the tourist attractions located near by. Bird-watching on Ragho Sagar lake is
possible from the balcony of Gokul Vilas. For nature-lover there are several
picnic spots round Deogarh. Jeep safaris can be arranged on request.
